About this item: Rajnandinee and Srabonti are two artisans from India who work together to design and craft beautiful accessories. They proudly present this shoulder bag, which is made from 100% silk with black leather accents. The silk features a sunrise orange color with block-printed leaf motifs in olive and embroidery in the kantha style, which is popular among Bengali women. The bag features two open pockets on the outside, and opens at the top with a zipper to reveal a black polyester-lined interior with two open pockets and a single zipper pocket.

About our Artist: Hello, we are Rajnandinee and Srabonti. We are from the beautiful city of Kolkata in West Bengal, which is often called the ‘City of Joy.’ We love Indian arts and crafts, especially from Bengal. In fact, friends and family would ask us to design for them, so we thought it was a good idea to start a design studio and that’s how we started our little venture in 2014. It’s been a lovely experience so far. We have five artisans who works full time in our workshop – these artisans mainly work on handbags. We also have about three or four weavers from a local village who weave scarves and stoles for us. Srabonti was introduced to art at an early age through her mother, who designed and stitched beautiful garments for herself and her daughter and got her interested in the craft.
